Andreas Romdhane and Josef Svedlund have worked together as music producers and songwriters since the 90ies. Both started out in the Swedish Hip Hop scene and then gradually moved into mainstream pop. The Swedish duo have a solid track record from music production under the name Quiz & Larossi – having scored several UK #1 singles, and spent 20+ years working with diverse artists such as Westlife, Kelly Clarkson, The Pussycat Dolls, Diana Ross and Il Divo, to name a few.
In 2013, they wanted to work closer to the artists and creators and founded their own label. The duo started out by identifying talent on YouTube, supporting those creators by increasing production quality and broadening their reach through publishing music across multiple platforms. Their first signing to the label was a 16-year old girl by the name of Sofia Karlberg. Her rendition of Crazy in Love became viral on YouTube. Today, she has over 2 million followers and over 600 million streams across multiple platforms.
As music streaming services grew, new music listening patterns emerged. Many genres of music were not given the love and attention they deserved in the production phase. The duo felt that there was a unique opportunity to improve the quality of music in other categories than mainstream Top-40. By supporting creators and giving them the chance to create music in new genres at the core of the vision, Audiowell was founded. Today, Audiowell is proud to support a large and diverse network of music creators spanning from the US to Sweden and South America, and continues to release music across all platforms reaching millions of listeners globally.
Audiowell has a music studio complex in the heart of Stockholm. The focus is still to keep making the best music in other categories than Top-40. “There is so much creativity that needs an outlet. To come to the studio every day and work with our fantastic team of creators is pure joy.” Going forward, Audiowell is focusing on further expanding the creator network and finding new unique talent across the globe.
